Agri (Goseiger)/Kasumi (Ninninger): When I Was Missing Someone

You came just as I was missing someone, it became you… — Mah Tun Welah Por Dee (You Came At Just The Right Time), Mook Worranit

It was about to turn midnight. But sleep seemed to elude Kasumi until that point. She already tired herself out the whole day just so she could finally sleep and not worry about anything as soon as she laid herself down. And yet, it didn’t work, for some reason.

She wasn’t going to lie, it was frustrating. But then, if her heart would still continue to worry for that man even though they’ve been away for so long already, perhaps she should stop doing things just to deny herself the truth.

Once that thought had settled in, she took her phone from her bedside table with a sigh. She couldn’t help showing a sad smile the moment she opened her phone gallery and saw pictures. Lots of them. They were the ones that she didn’t want to delete. And she didn’t know if she was just doing to torture herself or…

‘I just miss him…’

Yes… she missed Agri. She had been for a long while. Though she knew they were still friends when they separated three years back, not once had she heard anything from that guy all this time. And her overthinking mind couldn’t stop conjuring questions after questions of what could’ve happened.

"This is going nowhere, isn't it?" With a sigh for who knows how many times already, Kasumi commented. She closed her phone not long after that.

If any of her cousins could see her at the moment, they would definitely laugh at her once they saw her in this state. Maybe she should’ve called it a blessing in disguise when she had to attend a conference outside of town, away from them.

The only disadvantage was… there was no one she could confide in. No one to talk to just to release her frustration for missing a guy. A guy, of all things!

But then again… Agri wasn’t just a guy to her. He was a different person for her. It was confusing, in more ways than one.

Another sigh escaped Kasumi’s lips before leaning her back on her swivel chair. More moments of staring at the ceiling transpired before she stood up and decided to go to her apartment’s balcony. She wasn’t sure if getting fresh air would provide any help to her predicament.

But she needed a different view other than the four walls and four corners of her room.

“Ah!”

Her eyes widened along with that yelp when something else other than the nearby apartment and night sky greeted her the moment she slid the glass door going to her balcony. But a large hand almost immediately covered her mouth before any more sound would come out of her mouth.

And yet, her eyes remained wide open as she stared at the man who covered her mouth.

'Agri-kun?' she could only ask herself since the hand of the man in front of her was still covering her mouth.

Once the thought had finally registered in her mind, she let out a complaining sound from her covered mouth and slapped his arm a few times. It was when Agri finally decided to let her go and sighed.

"Damn it! I didn't think you'd actually try to scream," Agri started before smiling at her.

"Who wouldn't try to scream when you just appeared all of a sudden on the balcony of my apartment? What made you decide to act like a burglar, anyway?" Kasumi blurted out before she could even stop herself.

It was uncharacteristic of her, that was for sure. When the realization hit her, she shut her eyes and clamped her mouth before facing the amused Agri.

"Who would've thought I'd see you flustered like this again?" he uttered as he continued staring at her.

Of course, the gesture startled her and she looked away after a few moments. There was something about the way he looked at her at the moment that made her self-conscious, even for a confident woman such as Kasumi.

'This is surely another one of the things that my cousins would tease me about if they found out…' Then again, if her hunch was right, they were already aware of Agri. So there wouldn't be any difference if they actually saw her being self-conscious at the moment around this guy.

She took a deep breath before facing Agri. "What brings you here late at night, by the way?"

The said Gosei Angel, however, decided not to answer. Kasumi frowned despite the heat starting to crawl up her face with the way he was looking at her.

"Why are you looking at me like there's something weird on my face?" she ended up asking. Well, she only did that just so she could divert her attention from her burning cheeks. And of course, to distract Agri from looking at her face intently.

Seriously, there was something about his stare at her that would not only make her self-conscious, but would also make her heart beat faster than usual. And no, it wasn't arrhythmia and she knew that.

He smiled before shaking his head. "Nothing. I just missed looking at you, that's all."

'Please, Agri-kun… Don't do this again…' Surprisingly, she couldn't even voice out that small plea. Seriously, any more of Agri's unexpected answers would make her faint.

Maybe not literally, but her heart would.

"Agri-kun…" Kasumi tried to make her tone a little threatening just for him to spill it out.

"I'm not lying. I really miss looking at you. We haven't seen each other in a long while, anyway," he said and proceeded to step closer to her.

Before she could even take a step back and enter her apartment, Agri took her hand and pulled her closer to him. It took a while for her mind to comprehend that he did it so he could wrap his arms around her. And it was a tight hug, as well.

Needless to say, she was speechless. But she didn't do anything to push him away, whether she would admit it or not, she missed that.

She missed him. So much.

"Let's stay like this for a while, okay? I know you don't have work tomorrow, anyway," he said that eventually broke the silence between them.

Kasumi could only chuckle before letting out an agreeing sound. It was surprising, indeed. But if she was going to be honest, she didn't mind experiencing this once in a while.

She wouldn't mind it if it would be Agri doing this kind of surprise to her.
